William Walter Eledge III

William Walter Eledge III, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City, TN.

He was a long-time member, deacon, Sunday school and Discipleship teacher at Calhoun First Baptist Church.  He loved reading and studying God’s Word.  He was a kind, warm, gentle man with a sparkling smile, a memorable laugh, and a deep desire to serve the Lord and others in his life. He loved his family, sports, his garden, and the great outdoors. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Walter Eledge, Jr. and Pauline Bullard Eledge, and by his sister Libby Eledge Lee.

He is survived by his wife Jean Eledge, his son Eric Eledge, daughter-in-law Bethany Stanfield Eledge, grandchildren Elijah, James, Jesse, Aaron Eledge, and several nieces and nephews.

Interment will follow a small, private memorial service on Sunday, August 9, 2020. Deacons of Calhoun First Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers. A white dove release and playing of bagpipes will conclude the graveside service.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak we are asking everyone to wear masks at the visitation and at the service.
