Thomas E. Dewey Craig

Thomas "Tom" E. Dewey Craig, 78 of Cleveland, TN passed away Friday, October 20th, 2023.

Tom was born in 1945 in Farner, TN but lived the majority of his life in Cleveland, TN. He worked at Conasauga Small Mill and also with Southern Construction building bridges until retirement. Tom was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed camping, horseback riding, and rides through the mountains. He also enjoyed spending time on his farm and helping anyone in need. His passion is life was his family. Tom loved spending with his grandchildren and great grandson.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Cecile Craig; parents, William and Mandy Craig; sisters: Martha Swaggerty, Sue Brewer, Thelma Hunt, and Willie Craig; brothers: Johnny Craig, Freddie Craig, Ernest Craig.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Thornton of Cleveland, TN; grandsons: Forrest Thornton and Dustin Thornton of Cleveland, TN; granddaughters, Amber Thornton of Rockwood, TN and LaTonya Ramsey of Calhoun, TN; great grandson, Jaxson Thornton of Etowah, TN; and brother, Windom Craig of Cleveland, TN; & many other extended family members. 

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 28th, 2023 from 1-3pm at Poole Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cleveland at 3000 Ralph Buckner Blvd. NE Cleveland, TN.
