Ruby W. Fox, age 85, of Old Fort, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, May 21, 2022. She was a member of Victory House of Prayer in Athens. Ruby enjoyed old cars with her late husband, Leon. She was a true animal lover; especially to her dog Lacey and her grand-dog Rocky. Above all, Ruby loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, William Leon Fox, Sr.; parents, Johnny and Stella Goodman; and son, Dale Moore.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Arlette and Mitchell James of Cleveland, and son and daughter-in-law, William Leon, Jr. (better known as Bill) and Crystal Fox of Old Fort; grandchildren, Brittany and Mike Taylor, and Charity and Adam Baggett; great-grandchildren, Kyler Back, Jameson Baggett, and Presley Baggett; as well as several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
A celebration of Ruby’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Mitchell James officiating. Interment will follow to Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Adam Baggett, Jameson Baggett, Eric Bramblett, and Anthony Sims serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
The family would like to give a special thank you to her care givers at Signature Healthcare and Rehab.
