Ruba Lois Eslinger

Ruba Lois Eslinger, age 92 of Cleveland, Passed away Monday, January 13th, 2025, at Life Care Center of Collegedale. She was a member at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where she was a choir member and Sunday School teacher. She was an avid seamstress who enjoyed sewing, crocheting and homemaking.

Ruba was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, James William Eslinger; son, Robert Lee Shadwick, Jr.; parents, Ervin and Flora Richmond; and siblings, Edward Richmond and Irene Allen.

She is survived by her two children, Debbie Anderson and husband Gary of Cleveland, Renee Goins and husband Mitch of Chattanooga; daughter-in-law, Debra Shadwick; seven grandchildren and spouses, Sharon Dean (Jimmy), Jessica Shadwick, Jeff Shadwick, Cassie Finchum (Matt), Josh Ridings, Paige Hewitt (Josh) and Jessica Boaen (Brian); two great grandchildren, Matthew (M.J.) and Selah Finchum.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 19th, 2025 from 12 PM to 2 PM at Poole Funeral Home; 3000 Ralph Buckner Blvd with a funeral service to follow at 2 PM. with Pastor Morty Lloyd officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery conducted by Matthew Finchum.
