Regenia Collier

September 24, 1959 — March 28, 2025

Cleveland

With deep sadness, we announce that Regenia Lineberry Collier of Cleveland, TN passed from this life to her heavenly home on Friday, March 28, 2025. She was born September 24, 1959 in Norfolk, VA, to the late Reverend Paul and Wacoe Lineberry; her maternal grandparents were Herman and Cleo Carrico.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Herschel Collier of Cleveland, TN; and two sons Steven Collier of Palm Coast, FL and Jeffrey (Michelle) Collier of Cedar Rapids, IA. Regenia's pride and joy were her three grandchildren Cooper (12), Piper (6), and Harrison (4). She is survived by a sister, Geanna (Charlie) Walker of Southport, North Carolina; brother Aaron Lineberry of Longwood, FL; and brother Darius (Jeannie) Lineberry of Cleveland, TN. Regenia leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Regenia lived a full and vibrant life, sharing her beautiful smile, infectious laughter, and generous spirit with everyone she knew. Her life was filled with service to others all around her. She embraced and cared for youth, college students, family, neighbors, friends, and many strangers throughout her life. She was committed to teaching and sharing Christ’s love to teens and students at church as a youth leader and through her work as a mentor to Lee University students.

Alongside Herschel and mother, Wacoe, Regenia owned and operated Candlewycke Manor Bed & Breakfast in Cleveland, TN, hosting travelers from near and far, in addition to countless weddings, parties, and banquets. She viewed every guest at Candlewycke as an opportunity to share God’s love and to be a blessing in their lives.

Her creativity knew no bounds. She designed countless books, programs, brochures, newsletters, and award-winning ads for her beloved Lee University, where she served for 33 years, most recently as Director of Publications. She sang, wrote poetry, designed hundreds of cakes, and illustrated and published her own coloring book inspired by her grandchildren.

Regenia poured her heart into family gatherings and holidays, building menus, decorating, and planning activities to celebrate and make memories together. She insisted family was the most important part of life, and she loved her family profoundly.

Family and friends are invited to share in memories at visitation on Monday, March 31, 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Poole Funeral Home (3000 Ralph Buckner Blvd, Cleveland, TN). A celebration of her life officiated by Dr. Paul Conn will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at Lee University Chapel (1020 N. Ocoee St., Cleveland, TN).
