Oma Lee Matthews Odom lived a long healthy life. She met her Lord and family on April 21, 2025, at her residence.
Oma Lee was preceded in death by her Father, S.G. Matthews; Mother, Ruby Mae Weir Matthews; siblings, Frances Loranne Harris, Mary Matthews Murphy, Roy Ray Matthews, and Jack C. Matthews; son Christopher Nelson Cartwright, and husband Benjamin Donald Odom.
A lifelong resident of Bradley County and a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church, retired after many years at Magic Chef.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, stepson and family, as well as her adopted family.
The family would like to acknowledge her wonderful caregivers Deanna, Jackie, & A.J. for their devotion and care for her. Also, our appreciation to Hearth Hospice and their staff.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Poole Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Cleveland at 10:00 a.m. with funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Johnston Cemetery conducted by Reverend Debbie Stokes and Reverend Mary Parsons.
Pallbearers will be Chris Cartwright, Joe Matthews, Donald Cartwright, Al Butler, Daniel Odom, and Kody Odom.
In leu of flowers, donations can be made to Johnston Cemetery, 3639 Lower River Road N.W., Georgetown, Tn 37336.
