Mary Lee Thomasson, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Thomasson was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, traveling (having traveled to Alaska, Canada, and Mexico), camping, crocheting, sewing, crafting, and was a homemaker. She was also employed at Bendix as a supervisor for 20 years. She was the matriarch of her family, and had family gatherings at her home for 60 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Fowler Thomasson; mother, Dema Mitchell Lawson; father, Roy Lee Lawson; sister, Mildred May; great-grandson, Hayden Kyle.
She is survived by her children, Olivia McLaurine and husband, Colin of Cleveland, TN, Vivian Donn and husband, Jeri of Morgan Hill, CA, Mary Ann Bradshaw and husband, Gary of Murfreesboro, TN, Mike Thomasson and wife, Kelli of Cleveland, TN, Doug Thomasson and wife, Hiromi of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Amanda Panell, Andrea Thomas, Matthew Kyle, Jennifer Donn, Benjamin Donn, Alex Rymer, Nathan Rymer, Tanner Thomasson, and Noah Thomasson; great-grandchildren, Grayson Panell, Harrison Thomas, and Charlie Thomas; siblings, Doris Cox of Tampa, FL, Ruth Hooper and husband, Milton of Cleveland, TN, Phyllis Stevison of Cleveland, TN, Janice Shiver and husband, Ernie of Athens, TN, Bill Lawson and wife, Martha of Cleveland, TN; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside celebration of her life will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 2, 2021 in the Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Reverend Steve Huff officiating. Dr. Timothy Thomas, Matthew Kyle, Nathan Rymer, Alex Rymer, Zach Panell, and Noah Thomasson will serve as pallbearers. Tanner Thomasson and Benjamin Donn will be serving as honorary pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.
