Mark Allen Cathey

Mr. Mark Allen Cathey, of Sweetwater, TN formerly of Cleveland, TN passed away at his residence Thursday, May 23, 2024. He was sixty-four.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Red Hill Cemetery with Pastor Roy Bivens officiating and Poole Funeral Home Cleveland directing. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. at Poole Funeral Home Cleveland on Monday, May 27, 2024.

Mr. Cathey was born June 27, 1959, in Cleveland, TN to the late James F, Jr. and Jacqueline Ingram Cathey. Mr. Cathey was a wonderful dad and a loving husband. He also loved anything with University of Tennessee Athletics. Mr. Cathey was a good Christian man and was Church of God by faith.

Mr. Cathey was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Kim Cathey, Dale Cathey, and Tab Cathey and grandson, Brentley Gates.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Cathey; three daughters, Alana Cathey, Sheena Austin, and Courtney Crowden; two sons, Jacob Cathey, and Anthony Cathey; grandchildren, Sunshine and Ocean Austin, Jayden and Mason Crowden; one brother, Mitchell Cathey (Betty); three sisters-in-law, Chris Butler, Verlisa Menz, and Jessica Bird and their children; one niece and her children, Shannon Gladden, Savannah Gladden, and Blake Gladden; father and mother-in-law, Pastor Roy and Frances Bivens.
