Maci Alexis McCoy, 17, of Calhoun, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022, in a Knoxville hospital. She was of the Baptist faith and attended First Baptist Church of Cleveland. She was a member at Benton Station Baptist Church.
Maci was an amazing daughter, step daughter, sister, step sister, granddaughter, and niece. She was so loved by all. She will be remembered for her strength, smile and laughter. She enriched all of our lives with so much joy. She enjoyed boat rides with her dad in the summers, fall festivals, football games, church activities, watching Disney movies, listening to music with her brother, and just being with family. Everyone who met Maci loved her, and we are blessed God gave us the time he did with her. We will forever keep her in our hearts.
She was preceded death by her twin sister, Gracie Ann McCoy; and grandfathers, Don McCoy and Dale Evatt.
She survived by her dad and step mom, David McCoy and Deanna Kesley; mom and step dad, Crystal and Deaunta “Tay” Rizer; sister, Allie Bree McCoy; brother Kason Rizer; step sisters, Miyah and ZaVeah Kesley; grandmothers, Faye McCoy and Cynthia Lawson; great-grandmother, Nancy Evatt; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, family, and friends.
A celebration of her life will be at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2022, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Joel Jenkins officiating.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 5, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will follow the service on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Benton Station Baptist Church Cemetery with Tay Rizer, David McCoy, Mark McCoy, and Donald McCoy serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.
