Kaylee Mae Shell
Kaylee Mae Shell, 19, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Cleveland and was a graduate of Bradley Central High School. She had just been accepted to ETSU, and planned to attend in the fall.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dike Jeremy Shell.
She is survived by her mother, Rena Johnson, and her stepfather, Louis Johnson; her maternal grandmother Glenda Morrow; her maternal grandfather, Mike Shelby (Vickie) of Scottsboro, AL; her great-grandmother, Peggy Waters; three sisters, Skylah Shell, Ryan Johnson, and Mandi Johnson; a brother, Cameron Johnson; three nieces, Enlee Shell and Emery Smith, and Ryelee Radford; two nephews, Conner Radford, and Camden Simpson; two aunts, Kara Radford (Josh), and Taylor Simpson (Jacob). Several cousins and friends also survive.
Kaylee loved the outdoors, and being with her MANY friends. She loved spontaneous trips, especially to the beach! She shared a very special and unbreakable bond with her mamaw. She had a contagious spirit that left an imprint on the hearts and lives of many. She was deeply loved by all who knew her. She was a fun-loving and selfless person who loved with all she had.
A celebration of her life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2023 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Jacob Simpson, Keith True, Cameron Johnson, Steven Wooten, Brad Hampton, and Brandon Lee serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, at the funeral home just prior to the service.
