Joyce Ann Smith

Joyce Ann Smith, 70, a resident of Ocoee, TN, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2020 at her residence. She was of Christian faith, and was a member at Christ United Methodist Church. She leaves behind the love of her life, William Webb Smith of whom she was married to for 49 wonderful years. She had her Doctorate of Education, and was a math teacher Chattanooga State Community College where she helped so many people reach their full potential.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mattie Petty

She is survived by her loving husband; son, Matthew Dru Smith and wife, Amanda of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Sydney Smith, and Van Smith of Chattanooga; brothers, Milton “Mickey” Petty and wife, Carol of Franklin, TN, Glenn Petty of Spring Hill, TN; several nieces and nephews also survived.
