Frances June Swafford

Dear friends and family,

In loving memory of Frances June Swafford, a seamstress at American Uniform, we gather to honor her remarkable life and legacy. Frances passed away on July 29, 2024 in Athens, leaving behind a profound impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Frances was born on June 21, 1935, in Cleveland. She grew up surrounded by love and kindness from her parents, David and Irene Rutledge. After graduating high school, Frances embarked on a career journey that led her to American Uniform, where she showcased her talent and dedication as a seamstress.

One of Frances's proudest accomplishments was being a loving wife to her beloved husband Mitchell Swafford, who she often referred to as the love of her life. Together, they shared countless memories and built a strong foundation of love and respect that will endure for eternity. Frances was also incredibly fond of her family and friends, cherishing every moment spent with them.

Her warm personality extended beyond her work and family life - Frances had a passion for shopping that brought her immense joy. She found solace in seeking out beautiful garments and unique treasures, finding delight in the simple pleasures of life.

Frances's absence leaves a void in the hearts of many. However, we take comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with Mitchell in eternal peace. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Frances June Swafford is survived by William and Betty Rutledge, along with nephew Keith and Crystal Rutledge. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will continue to cherish her memory.

A visitation will be held at Poole Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cleveland on August 2, 2024, starting at 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. The burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 2:00 PM on the same day.

As we say our final goodbyes to Frances, let us hold onto the beautiful memories she gifted us with and find solace in the love she shared so unconditionally.
