Edna Mae Houck

Edna Mae Houck, age 95, a resident of Fayetteville, GA, passed away Friday, December, 17, 2021 in Fayetteville, GA with her daughter, Sherry Williams at her side.  She was a longtime member of the Spring Place Church of God and was in retail sales at J. C. Penney.  She was known for her active lifestyle and her southern charm and hospitality.  She absolutely loved to bake for her family and friends.  Edna will be missed by all those who were privileged to have known her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Houck; her parents, Manker C. Allen and Lara Mae Maney Allen; her sisters:  Grace Brown, Lennie Rose, Blanche Brooks, June Swanson, Gerty Garbouski, and her brothers Robert Allen and Edward Allen.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Williams of Fayetteville, GA; and her son Robert C. Rose of Spring City, TN; her grandsons, Robert D. Rose of Wildwood, GA and Samuel Rose of Spring City, TN; her granddaughter, Tabitha Rose of Spring City, TN; and her great granddaughter, Savannah Rose of Wildwood, GA.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 1:00 P.M.at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Bishop Barry L. Lee officiating.  Interment will follow at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. on December 22, 2021 prior to the service at the funeral home.
