Corda “Mardell” Wilkinson

Corda “Mardell” Wilkinson, 94, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was a lifelong resident of Cleveland, and was a member of the Church of Christ. She had worked in the insurance industry, and retired from American General.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Friendly and Mattie Wilkinson; two brothers, Bill Wilkinson and Grover Wilkinson; a sister, Margaret Duggan; and two nieces, Arlene Haworth and Jane Duggan Whitener.

She is survived by her sister, Betty Taylor; four nieces, Louise Morris (Michael), Sharon Green (Craig), Janice Stephenson (Mark), and Sheila Goins; four nephews, Mitchell Duggan (Tommie), Neil Taylor (Sandy), Larry Duggan, and Lowell Haworth; and a sister-in-law, Ada Wilkinson. Several great nieces and nephews also survive.

A celebration of her life will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2023 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Minister Mark Stephenson officiating.  Interment will follow in Ramsey Cemetery with Larry Duggan, Logan Taylor, Cody Goins, Jacob Stephenson, Zack Kennedy, Willis Hammontree, and Neil Taylor serving as pallbearers. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home, just prior to the service.
