Claudia Faye Hedden, 75, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021at a hospital in Chattanooga. She worked for Hardwick Clothes for over 30 years. Ms. Hedden was of the protestant faith, she loved traveling, her grandchildren, flowers, and was an avid antique shopper. Her passion in life was to help others, and she loved life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sammy Lee Shelton and Edna Mae Shelton; loving husband, Lenward Hedden; siblings, Barbara McCormick, Fannie Hipps-Ledford, Jack Shelton, and Zeak Shelton.
She is survived by her children, Cathy Dailey of Cleveland, Tammy Wilson and husband, Bruce of Cleveland, Rebecca McClure of Cleveland; grandchildren, Aron Dailey, Jordan Wilson, Avery Wilson, and Mason McClure; sisters, Marie Burns of Calhoun, TN, Edith Bates of Cleveland; brothers, Ed Shelton and wife, Jonie of Cleveland, James Shelton and wife, Linda of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews also survived.
A celebration of her life will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 17, 2021 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Rev. Wade Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service. Pallbearers include; Tony Burns, Michael Payne, Joe Chastain, Junior Shelton, Bruce Wilson, and Eric Phillips.
The family will receive friends from12:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
