Billye Uren, of Cleveland, TN passed away April 2, 2025, at Bradley Medical Center. Born August 26, 1947, to William and Ruby (Hickman) Easley in Eupora, Mississippi. She was 77 years old.
In 1965, Billye was a National Honor Society member when she graduated from Choctaw High School in Oklahoma.
A year later, she married Paul, a young man in the Air Force and they started a life they would share for the next 58 ½ years together. Starting in Michigan, their son, Timothy was born in Sault Ste Marie. Then, living in Wisconsin and Nebraska before settling in Rapid City, South Dakota. Billye found a career she enjoyed, working in the accounting department at the South Dakota Cement Plant. She eventually gave this up to work in the family-owned business, which allowed Paul and her, the opportunity to travel frequently before selling the business and moving to Tennessee where Billye did some part-time office work before finally retiring twenty years ago. Despite having rheumatoid arthritis for 50 years, Billye lived a full and active life. She was always upbeat and ready to go anytime, despite the pain. She was grateful for the care and special kindness of Dr. Ballard and Dr. Craig, who helped provide her with a better life.
Survived by her husband, Paul of Cleveland and son, Timothy Uren and his wife, Wendy Ruyle of Minneapolis, MN; sister, Edna Hart and brother, Mike Easley; sister-in-law Betty (Alvin) Finney; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, John, James, Dock and Jeff Easley; her in-laws Paul and Gertrude (Pendrose) Uren and sister-in-law Joanne (Uren) Jones.
Friends are invited to a visitation being held Saturday, April 5th from 1-3 PM at Poole Funeral Home, Cleveland, TN. A service and visitation are being planned to take place at Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home, Ishpeming, MI
