Gladys Lewis, age 85, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2005 in a local hospital. She was a member of Charleston First Baptist Church. Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker and very devoted to her family. She was the daughter of the late L. C. and Lily Cox Moore, and was also preceded in death by a brother, Milton R. Moore, sister, Virginia Brock, and beloved granddaughter, Amy Lewis. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Leon Lewis of Cleveland; four children and their spouses: Patsy and Sam Bettis, Bill and Norma Jean Lewis, Frankie Lewis, and Terry and Cynthia Lewis, all of Cleveland; daughter-in-law: Carolyn Lewis of Cleveland; six grandchildren: Amanda B. Graves of Athens, Malissa B. Blackwell of Knoxville, Brian K. Lewis of Cleveland, Angela D. Bogart of Cookeville, Alisha M. Gibson of Cleveland, and Shannon L. Lunsford of Cleveland; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters: Nellie Saffles of Cleveland, and Ira Lee Fugate of Calhoun; one brother, Wayne Moore of Calhoun; special brother-in-law: Bud Brock of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
