Nina "Grace" Booher, age 85, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2007 in a local hospital. She was a member of the Parkway Baptist Church. She was formerly a cook at the old Oak Grove School. She was an expert seamstress and won first prize at the state fair in California for her dogwood quilt. Mrs. Booher was the daughter of the late Jacob and Pansy Laughlin and was also preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Reverend Harvey Booher of Cleveland; two sons and daughters-in-law: James and Elaine Booher of Charleston and Paul and Michele Booher of Cleveland; five grandchildren: Richard Booher of Charleston, Jim Booher of Oak Ridge, Rebecca Graham of Cleveland, Kaci and Karli Booher both of Cleveland; seven great-grandchildren: Callie, Emily, Will, Alex, Nick, Jake Booher and Karsten Graham; two sisters: Ruth Branson and Eva Gregg both of Knoxville. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Tony McClanahan, Reverend Bill Duncan and Reverend David Gregg officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
