Billy Gene Calfee

Billy Gene Calfee, age 76, a resident of Cleveland went home to be with his Lord on February 1, 2006 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army after serving 20 years. He was a Vietnam Era Vet. While serving in the military he was 100% soldier. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and the Brotherhood. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley Hogan (W.H.) and Pansy Marie Calfee; brothers: Jack Calfee and Henry Calfee; sisters: Dixie Stepp, Polly Davis and Rebecca Arterburn. He is survived by his loving wife and companion of 54 years, Julia E. Peterson Calfee; his children: Billy Gene Calfee, Jr., John Wesley Calfee, Jeanette Kaeppner all of Cleveland, Cynthia Lowery and husband Dennis Lowery of Crockett, Texas, Julia Lynn and husband Lonnie (Bo) Cross of Cleveland, Javako Eric Calfee and wife Patricia Veler Calfee all of Cleveland, and Richard Dale Calfee of Clifton, TN; his grandchildren: Kemberly Marie Bowton of Canton, IL, Billy G. Calfeee III and Rachel A. Calfee all of Canton, IL, Jennifer Moore, Jeremy Shane Kaeppner, Brittany Calfee, Becca Calfee, Matthew Duckett all of Cleveland, Stephen and wife, Maggie Lowery, Brooke Lowery, Dustin Duckett and wife, Sara all of Texas, and Jason Calfee and wife Lisa of Etowah; great grandchildren: Brianna Moore, Eliya Hughes of Cleveland, Nicole Kaeppner of Athens, Shae Duckett and Danielle Duckett, Jaycee Lowery of Texas, Austin Bowton, Dakota Calfee, Sierra Calfee all of Illinois; surviving brothers and sisters: Fern Taylor of Cleveland, Lester Calfee of Athens, Wilma Caudle of Madisonville, Joe Calfee of Cleveland, Charles (Shorty) Calfee of Dalton, GA; numerous nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
