Frank Hooper, age 87, a resident of Georgetown, passed away Friday, February 10, 2006 in a Decatur healthcare facility. He was a member of Candies Creek Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II in the Pacific. He was employed with Southern Railway for thirty years. Mr. Hooper was the son of the late Jayhew Harrison and Bernola Liner Hooper and was also preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Tinsley Hooper, three brothers and one sister. He is survived by his children and spouses: Benny Hooper of Georgetown, Herbert and Janice Hooper of Chattanooga, Carl and Vicki Hooper of Signal Mountain; four grandchildren: Josh Hooper, Andy Hooper, Mitch Hooper and Jeff Hooper; one great-grandchild, Lee Ann Hooper; two sisters: Dot Carson and Marge Melton both of Cleveland; four brothers: Dave Hooper of Cleveland, Joe Hooper of Riverside, California, Ray Hooper of Cleveland and Wayne Hooper of Charleston; several nieces and nephews also survive.
