Grace Swafford Withrow

Grace Swafford Withrow, age 77, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, February 24, 2006 at her home. As a graduate of Bradley Central High School, she continued her education at East Tennessee State University where she received a Bachelors Degree. She was an elementary school teacher in this area for thirty five years teaching at McDonald, Prospect and Bradley Junior High School. She was a member of Phillipi Baptist Church. Her parents, Harrison Aaron and Grace Ingle Swafford, preceded her in death as well as five brothers: Frank Swafford, Paul Swafford, Arthell Swafford, Clarence Swafford and J. T. Swafford. Two sisters also preceded her in death: Justine Miller and Parilee Goins. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Clifford Withrow of Cleveland; one daughter and son-in-law, Alice and Donald Couch, Jr., of Cleveland; one grandson, Joshua Couch of Knoxville; and many nieces and nephews.
