Annie M. Sampson McMahan, age 82, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2006 in a Dalton, Georgia healthcare facility. She was a member of The Church of God Zion Hill. She was the daughter of the late John and Lola Swinney Sampson and was also preceded in death by her husband, Grady McMahan. Her daughter, Carolyn Jones, also preceded her in death as well as two brothers: Winfrey "Ross" Sampson and Paul Sampson. She is survived by one two sisters: Cleo Ledford of Chatsworth, GA, and Geraldine Reyes of Port St. Joe, FL; one brother, J. D."Jake" Sampson of Dalton; one son-in-law, Jesse Jones of Athens; three grandchildren and their spouses: Scott and Janice Jones of Cleveland, Tammy and John Kenemer of Rocky Face, GA, and Britt Jones of Knoxville; four great grandchildren: Jesse Jones and Dylan Jones, both of Cleveland, Robby Case and Kyle Harrow, both of Rocky Face, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverends H. L. Cannon and Cary Ryan officiating. Interment will follow in Fairy Valley Cemetery with the release of a flock of white doves concluding the service. Robby Case, Kyle Harrow, Jesse Clayton Jones, John Kenemer, Willis Fox and Zach Kenemer will serve as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends from 5 ? 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
