James Vincent Goltrie, age 93, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2006 in a local hospital. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during World War II in Naples and Southern France. He was a member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of American Legion Post 81 and VFW. His parents, Frank and Mary Carmello Golterio, preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary Florence Schrey Goltrie. He is survived by his two children: Loretta Goltrie of Cleveland, and Richard Goltrie also of Cleveland; one sister, Margaret Davis of Canton, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. A mass will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church with Father P. J. McGinnity officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post 81. Members of St. Therese council of the Knights of Columbus will serve as pallbearers with Charlie McKenzie and Daniel Swafford serving as honorary pallbearers. His family will receive friends from 6 ? 8 p.m. Friday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
