Sylvia "Dianne" Mizelle, age 59, a resident of Florida, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2006 at her mother?s residence. She was a member of the Bowman Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church, but attended the Forest Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church in Apopka, Florida. Dianne was born to Helen Lundy Mizelle & Roscoe Conklin Mizelle, Jr. on November 11, 1946 @ the Florida Hospital in Orlando, Florida. She lived in Cleveland until she completed her formal education @ Southern Missionary College School of Nursing. For the last 25 years she has been employed as a Registered Nurse by the Florida Hospital in the cardiac surgery operating room. In 2005 she was honored with the Betty Barker Nurse of the Year Award. She was preceded in death by her father, R.C. Mizelle, Jr. Survivors include her mother, Helen Mizelle, one precious sister, Suzanne McClellan, & a much loved brother-in-law, George McClellan, all of Cleveland, Tennessee; 4 nephews & 1 niece: Jonathan McClellan (wife, Helen); Michael McClellan (special friend, Keri Myers & her son Nick); David McClellan (wife, Shannon); Benjamin McClellan (wife, Janeane), & Candace Waterhouse (husband, David). Survivors also include 5 great nieces: Amanda, Avery, Isabella, Olivia, & Julia & many friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday @ the Bowman Hills SDA Church with Pastor Arnold Schnell and Pastor Ted Dubbs officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
