Vivian Jeanette Barnes

February 12, 1910 — June 20, 2006

Vivian Jeanette Barnes, age 96, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at her home after living a glorious life for her Lord. She was a member of First Baptist Church and touched the lives of many people by teaching Bible stories throughout the Cleveland area. She was born in Enterprise, Alabama, the daughter of the late Charles Ben Bell and Emmie Mohone Mizell Bell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Louie Wesley Barnes, brothers: Charles Bell, Jr., John Amos Bell, Joe Bell, A. B. Bell, and Gus Bell; and sisters: Mary Emma Bell Lawson, Fannie Sue Bell and Carolyn Margaret Bell Barnes. She is survived by her children: Betty Pierce of Cleveland, Bob Barnes of Valermosa Springs, AL, and Carol Lambdin of Romulus, MI; grandchildren: Vicki Sullivan, Brian Pierce, Trace Pierce, Kellye Collins, Greg Poirier, Dawn Javonavich, Kim Poirier, Sherree Robinson, Debbee Jordan, Scott Barnes and David Barnes; twenty-one great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Griffith officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with the release of a flock of white doves concluding the service. Her grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
