George Lee Bales Jr.

George Lee Bales, Jr., age 59, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2006 at his home. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was of the Church of God faith. He was the son of the late George Lee Bales, Sr. and Mary Katherine Johnson Bales. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Brenda Joyce Bales of Cleveland; two children: George Robert Bales and Laura Elizabeth Bales, both of Cleveland; three grandchildren: Seth David Bales, Autumn Mae Bales and Madison Leigh Jenkins; two brothers: Robert Bales and Tommy Bales, both of Chattanooga; one sister, Glenda Heater of Soddy-Daisy; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Wednesday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Kenneth Bales officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with family members serving as pallbearers.
