Darrell Davis, age 59, of McDonald, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at his residence. He was a member of New Prospect Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was an avid UT fan and loved going to the river, he also enjoyed barrel racing, boating, and skiing. He was employed with United Parcel Service for 32 years. He was preceded in death by his father, J.L. Davis. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Ingram Davis of McDonald; one son and spouse, Derrick and Magan Davis of McDonald; his mother, Ruth Collins Davis of Cleveland; one sister and spouse, Janice and J.C. Green of Cleveland; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bobby and Thelma Moore of Cleveland; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Chip and Sherry Dockins of Cleveland; sister-in-law, Tonya Cook of Cleveland; two grandchildren, Haley Davis and Dylan Davis both of McDonald; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon Friday July 14, 2006 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Caywood and Pastor Joe Guyer officiating. Interment will follow in Beaty Cemetery with Bricky Withrow, Joey Green, Todd Collins, Barrett Hancock, Erik Near, Eddie Rollins, Tucker Cook, and Carter Hancock serving as pallbearers. The U.P.S. drivers will serve as honorary pallbearers. His family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
