Charles Hubert Lee, age 79, a resident of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday evening July 22, 2006 after an extended illness. He was a member of Candies Creek Baptist Church. He served honorably for his country in the U.S. Army Air Force in occupied Germany. He retired from Dupont Corporation after 34 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arley Wilburn Lee and Lula Bell Cameron Lee and his sister, Leona Scott. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Crystal Lorrene Choate Lee; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles Dennis Lee and wife, Alice Long Lee; two daughters and sons-in-law; Janis Lee Willhoit and husband, Roy A. Willhoit, Jr. and Tammy Lee Lyles and husband, Terry Randall Lyles all of Cleveland; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald Q. Lee and wife, Joann Carden Lee of Cleveland; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Isaac Hicks, Terry Caywood and Daniel Willhoit officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Tom Jolley officiating. The service will conclude with military honors and a white dove release ceremony. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be retired Dupont employees.
