Robert Hawkins Sr.

Robert L. Hawkins, Sr., age 72, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, July 24, 2006 in a Chattanooga hospital. He lived in San Diego, California until moving to this area five years ago. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was of the Baptist faith. His parents, Dewey and Odesa Hawkins, preceded him in death. He is survived by one son, Robert L. Hawkins, Jr. of Cleveland; one sister, Linda Oeldeman of California; five brothers: Floyd Hawkins, Jerry Hawkins, Bill Hawkins, all of California, Joe Hawkins of South Carolina, and Jim Hawkins of Idaho; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. His family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the service.
