Nancy Cross

Nancy Kaye Worsham Cross, age 51, a resident of Old Fort, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, July 24, 2006 after a short illness at a local hospital. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was the daughter of the late Floyd Worsham and step-daughter of the late John Simpson (Papa Jr.). She is survived by her husband, Vernon Cross of Old Fort; two sons and daughters-in-law: Jack and Kelly Cross and Michael and Karen Cross all of Old Fort; grandchildren: Ben, Angelina, Jayden and Gavin Cross all of Old Fort; mother, Mary Keadle of Old Fort and step-mother, Alice Worsham of Florida; brothers and sisters-in-law: Chris and Christine Worsham of North Carolina, Bill Worsham, Floyd Jr. and Angie Worsham of Florida; sister, Libby Roxbury of Old Fort; father-in-law, Bob Cross of Cleveland; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Preston and Tammie Cross, Sue (Cross) and Dwayne Tegels all of Cleveland; several aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and a host of devoted family members and friends also survive. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Stovall officiating. Her family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
