Linda Sue Dixon Henry passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2006. She was a lifelong member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Ocoee. She had served as the church pianist for many years and taught various Sunday School classes and was a pre-school teacher at her passing. She graduated from Polk County High School and received her Bachelor?s Degree in Business Administration and minor in education from Berry College in Rome, Georgia. After graduation from college, she worked in Atlanta as Administrative Assistant with Southern Interstate Nuclear Board and later with Management Science America. When she returned to Tennessee, she worked for 17 years as Secretary to the Manager at Sears, Roebuck and Company and retired from Cleveland State Community College where she was Executive Assistant to the President. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Maxine Dixon. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Homer Eugene "Gene" Henry, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Jennifer Henry of Cleveland; and a precious granddaughter, Gwendalin Sage Henry of Cleveland; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat and Larry Swafford of Ocoee, and Bennie and David Nicholson of Ocoee, brother, Alvin Dixon, Jr. of Ocoee and brother and sister-in-law, John and Linda Dixon of Cleveland; nieces and nephews, Kevin and Stacy Swafford, Chris Swafford, Tracy and Roger Clark, Jason and Laura Nicholson and Barton Dixon; great nieces and nephews, Madison Yates, Victoria Yates, Hayden Nicholson, Riley Nicholson, Tucker Nicholson, Lainie Clark, Summer Clark, Miranda Clark, Isabel Swafford and Charlie Swafford. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Kinzel Hooker officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with Kevin Swafford, Chris Swafford, Jason Nicholson, Roger Clark, Charles Henry and David Henry serving as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
