Jerry Leo Worley, age 62, a resident of McDonald, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at his home. He was a deacon in the Baptist Church. He retired from EPB of Chattanooga following thirty years of service. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Helion Lodge #1 in Huntsville, Alabama. He was a charter member of Cahaba Temple also in Huntsville with a duel membership in the Alhambra Temple of Chattanooga. His parents, Elvie and Flossie Tiller Worley, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandra F. Worley of McDonald; daughters: Teresa Pontes of Apison, Kila Hill of Harrison, and Sandy Lewis of Soddy Daisy; grandchildren: Joshua Pontes, LeBron Lewis, Jason Pontes and Tagen Lewis; great granddaughter, Brianna Pontes; sisters: Jewel Gipson of Huntsville, AL, Margaret Sweeney of Mobile, AL, Joyce Keal of North Carolina, and Diane Fears of New Market, AL; brother, Joe Ed Worley of Soddy Daisy; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Mowery and Pastor Tyler Gentry officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with the release of a flock of white doves concluding the service. His family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
