Sarah Ellen Ensley

August 14, 1921 — August 30, 2006

Sarah Ellen Ensley, age 85, a resident of Cleveland, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, August 30, 2006. She was known for being a loving and devoted mother. She was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church for thirty three years. She was the daughter of the late Newt and Mary Dilbeck Long and was also preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Ensley, son, Eugene Ensley, and daughter, Mary Ellen Ensley. Her five siblings also preceded her in death: Joe Long, William Long, Tom Long, Minnie Lee Sutton and Lela Knight. She is survived by one son, Clifford Ensley of Cleveland; four daughters: Martha Clemmer, Patsy Humberd, Wilma Tomblin and husband Josiah, all of Cleveland, and Jeanette Allen and husband Roy of Cookeville; eleven grandchildren: Tim Clemmer, Misty Erickson, Bethany Humberd, Jill Caywood, Amy Frerichs, Brandon, Jeremy and Alaura Ensley, Nathan and Kelli Tomblin, and Sarah Allen; fourteen great-grandchildren: Daniel, Hannah and Luke Pace, Caleb Cain, Xander Caywood, Jada, Jordan, Jaxon and Jasmine Frerichs, Dylan Tomblin, Joshua Clemmer, Ashley Lawson, Lillian Ensley and Tanner Clemmer; one great great-granddaughter, Aubree Lawson; three sisters-in-law: Marie Blankenship, Winnie Ensley and Helen Ensley; one brother-in-law, Frank Stone; and several nieces and nephews. A home going service will be conducted Friday, September 1, at 2:00 p.m. at the Amazing Grace Baptist Church with the Reverend Marvin Carr, church pastor, and the Reverend Stinnett Ballew and the Reverend Sammy Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Cohulla Baptist Church Cemetery with grandsons: Tim Clemmer, Nathan Tomblin, Kevin Frerichs, Doug Caywood, Brandon Ensley and Jeremy Ensley serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include great-grandsons: Joshua Clemmer, Daniel Pace and Caleb Cain. Her family will receive friends from 5 ? 9 p.m. Thursday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and also Friday at the church for one hour prior to the service.
