Catheryn Wise Haggard

Catheryn "Wise" Haggard, age 94, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2006 in a local hospital. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and attended Sunrise Baptist Church. In the late 50?s and early 60?s, she worked with the Police Patrol Mother Group at Arnold School and was also a housekeeper with the Pryor Newman and W. J. McReynolds families. She was the daughter of the late Odie and Grace Bass and was also preceded in death by her husbands: Robert B. Wise (father of her children), Leo Elrod and John Haggard. Three children: Savanah Elrod, Ruth Wyllie Harrington and Robert D. Wise, also preceded her in death as well as a brother, Glenn Bass. She is survived by two sons and their wives: James O. and Rusty Wise, and Eugene B. and Virginia Wise, all of Cleveland; grandchildren: Theresa Archer, David Elrod, Doug Elrod, Wilma Elrod, Mike Wyllie, Robert Eugene Wise, Cathy Harrington and Wesley Wise; great grandchild, Ashley Wise and several other great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Geneva Wise of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Tuesday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Herb Conley officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Hill Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
