Dorothy Jean Miller

Dorothy Jean Miller, age 77, a resident of Cleveland and a former resident of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2006 in a local hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cleveland. She was a volunteer at First Baptist Church Cleveland Library and a former volunteer at First Baptist Church of Dalton Georgia Library. Mrs. Miller was the daughter of the late George B. and Grace Ruby Humphrey and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd Eugene Brown. She is survived by her husband, Richard E. (Gene) Miller of Cleveland; children and spouses: Julie E. Brown of Ringgold, GA, Stuart A. and Jodi D. Brown of Dalton, GA, Ken and Rhonda Miller of Chattanooga, Alice and Mike Stewart of Chattanooga; six grandchildren: Cecily Brown, Jacob Brown, Emma Brown, Katie Stewart, Tonya Phillips and Andrea Brady; two great-grandchildren; two sisters: Ann Gilbert and husband Ray Gilbert of Rossville, GA and Pam Humphrey of Rossville, GA; one brother, George Humphrey and wife, Ora Lee of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Cleveland with Pastor Allan Lockerman officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery in Dalton, Georgia. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and also 2-3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church.
