Casey Alexander Gunnoe-Wooten, age 16, a resident of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was a member of Michigan Avenue Baptist Church and was very active in the youth group. He was a junior at Polk County High School and also a member of the Future Farmers of America. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Matraca Gunnoe and Carmen Long and also a cousin, Randy Johnston. He is survived by his parents: Jeff and Tina Gunnoe of Benton and Ross and Cheria Wooten of Cleveland; siblings: Taylor Gunnoe and Tyler Gunnoe both of Benton, Rachel Wooten, Allix Wooten, Kea Wooten and Sarah Wooten all of Cleveland; grandparents: Ronald Johnston of Cleveland, Carmelita Johnston of Cleveland, Chester and Mickey Wooten of Cleveland, Wayne and Shirley Kesley of Cleveland, Jeanne Watkins of Evansville, TN and Ancil and Dixie Gunnoe of Cleveland; ; great-grandmother, Lucille Tuck. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Victor Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in the Michigan Avenue Baptist Church Cemetery with the white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Vic Wooten, Sam Wooten, Chris Gardner, John Gunnoe, Jamie Gunnoe and Joe Gunnoe will serve as pallbearers. His family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
