Virginia Dykes

Virginia I. Dykes, age 103, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2006 in a local healthcare facility. She was the longest living resident of Life Care of Cleveland. She was the oldest member of the Central Church of Christ. Mrs. Dykes was the daughter of the late James A. and Sarah Seymore Phillips and was also preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Dykes. She is survived by her two sons: Ed Dykes of Wetumpka, Alabama and Jim Dykes of Pensacola, Florida; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Minister Ted Gobble officiating. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Bradley Memorial Hospice, 175 24th Street, Cleveland, Tennessee 37311.
