Violet Irlene Wright Sullivan, born January 1, 1934, went to be with the Lord Monday, October 23, 2006. She was a 1951 graduate from Bradley Central High School and served with great love in the ministry along side her husband of 54 years, J. Russell Sullivan. She was a member of the Church of God in Dunn, NC. Her immediate church family included Hopewell Church of God and Peerless Road Church of God of Prophecy. God granted Violet the gifts of hospitality, servanthood and charity. Her love for cooking, sewing, music, and crafts were tools to demonstrate God?s love and her own love for everyone she met. She was annointed with a beautiful and spiritual voice that blessed many with her singing. She was preceded in death by her parents, James B. and Emma Wright, and brothers: Robert F. Wright and Glen H. Wright. She is survived by her loving husband, J.Russell Sullivan of Cleveland. She was the loving mother of five children (and their spouses): Joyce and Jerry Cannon of Cleveland, Ohio, Gregory L. and Janna Sullivan of Charlotte, North Carolina, Duane and Vicki Sullivan of Cleveland,Tennessee, Karen C. Sullivan of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Yvette and Ray Krupansky of Cleveland, Ohio. She was the cherished grandmother of eleven grandchildren: Christopher Cannon, Benjamin Cannon, Christine DeLeon, Shawna Ivison, Gina Soukup, James R. Sullivan, Jennifer Julian, Jennie Lynn Sullivan, Cynthia Whitten, Jonathan Whitten, Connor Sullivan, and also twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters and two brothers: Lorena Huff of Canton, Ohio, Thelma Pruitt of Denham Springs, Louisiana, Aleta Kuckhan of Springfield, Tennessee, June Mooneyham of Cleveland, Tennessee, Stanley Wright of Redland, California and James Dale Wright of Cleveland, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews also survive her. She was an accomplished executive secretary and bookkeeper and served local churches and state offices for her church for more than 30 years. Also employed as executive secretary for two real estate firms in Minnesota. As well as executive secretary for Electric Machinery Corp. in Minneapolis for more than 5 years. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be the Grandsons- Christopher Cannon, Benjmin Cannon, James Russell Sullivan, Jonathan Whitten, Frank Soukos, David Ivison. Her family will receive friends from 5 ? 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
