Mimia Kate McClelland

Mimia "Kate" Stewart McClelland, age 89, a life long resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2006 in a local healthcare facility. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. McClelland was the daughter of the late James and Belle Kirkland Stewart and was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Clyde McClelland; two brothers: Paul Stewart and Frank Stewart; one sister, Edna Lillard. She is survived by her children and spouses: William "Bill" and Anna McClelland and Faye and Henry Womac all of Cleveland; seven grandchildren: Connie Gonzalez, Kenneth Saffles, Teresa Cooley, Steve McClelland, Tammy Blankenship, Joe Saffles and Jason Saffles; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Geraldine Grubb and Bonnie Gilbert both of Cleveland; two brothers: Bill Stewart of Benton and Parker Stewart of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Darrell Grady officiating. Interment will follow Fort Hill Cemetery with Kenneth Saffles, Joe Saffles, Jason Saffles, James Saffles, Henry Womac and James Ramsey serving as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
