Bertie Lawson McCallie

Bertie Lawson McCallie, age 60, a life long resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2006 in a local hospital. She was of the Church of God faith. She was employed with Rubbermaid for the past eleven years. She was the daughter of the late Chester Harlie and Mossie Parker Lawson and was also preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence Lawson, Lamar Lawson and A.J. Lawson. She is survived by her two children: Kim Kelley and Tonya McCallie both of Cleveland; two grandchildren: Chris Kelley and Cody Kelley both of Cleveland; four sisters: Sue Watson, Hazel Ledford, Eunice Couch and Jean Lawson all of Cleveland; two brothers: Harvey Lawson and Robert Lawson both of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Kevin Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
