Brenda Joyce Whittenbarger Mahan

Brenda Joyce Whittenbarger Mahan, age 60, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, November 10, 2006 at her home. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She was an LPN and was formerly employed with Royal Care Nursing Home. Her parents, Willard and Hazel Ledford Whittenbarger, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Gary Mahan of Cleveland; one daughter, Shawna Diane Hayes of Cleveland; one granddaughter, Tiffani Nicole Hayes of Benton; one sister, Wanda Sue Patterson of Lula, GA; two brothers: Willard Lynn "Brownie" Whittenbarger and Rusty Lee Whittenbarger, both of McCaysville, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Kinzel Hooker officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery with the release of a flock of white doves concluding the service. Scotty Taylor, David White, Mike Peffery, Mike Patterson, Joey Whittenbarger, Steve Ledford, Rusty Whittenbarger and Brownie Whittenbarger will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Donnie Mahan, Phil Mahan, Carl Wilson, Charlie Ballew, Mitchell Taylor and George Marty.
