Clifford Roy Douthitt, age 56, resident of Cleveland for 10 years, passed away Saturday in a local healthcare facility. He retired from the U. S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant following 20 years of service and was a lifetime member of the VFW. He was currently a pilot for Kalitta Airlines. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Minnie Douthitt. He is survived by his wife, Janice Maye Gobin Douthitt of Cleveland; one daughter, Sarah Anne Douthitt of Calhoun; two step-daughters: Jennifer Baykal of Orlando, FL. and Melanie Baykal of Cleveland; two brothers: Tim and Darrell Douthitt of Meadville, PA; two sisters: Elaine Duncan and husband Clark of Meadville, PA, and Roberta Brown and husband Gary of Meadville, PA; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 1p.m. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. His family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
