Gwyn Younes Truelove

Gwyn Younes Truelove, age 51, a life long resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2006 in a Chattanooga hospital. She was a member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church where she was in charge of the church bulletin and was also very active in her church. She was a member of the Valley View Ruritan and was the newsletter editor. Master Sergeant Gwyn Younes Truelove was currently employed with the 241st Engineering Installation Squadron of the Air National Guard in Chattanooga, Tennessee where she served as the military human resources technician. She had been a member of the Air National Guard since 1978. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Younes and one brother, Glenn Younes and her grandparents, Willie and Opal Poteet. She is survived by her husband, Christopher Randolph "Randy" Truelove of Cleveland; mother, Mary Poteet Younes of Cleveland; two children and spouses: Kenneth "Eric" and Melissa Brown of Cleveland, James "Aaron" and Theresa Brown of Cleveland;three step children and spouses: Angela and David Millard of Birchwood, Kristi and Mike Mahaney of Lafayette, GA and Greg Truelove of Cleveland; ten grandchildren: Kayla and Kelsey Millard of Birchwood, Owen Mahaney of Lafayette, GA, Mattie Mahaney of Lafayette, GA, Miranda Truelove of Jacksonville, Florida, Brook Brown, Christy Brown, Marissa Brown all of Cleveland, Gabriel Brown and Adrian Brown of Biloxi, Mississippi; one brother, Lynn Younes of Cleveland; half sister, Gail Fell of Stone Mountain, GA; best friend, Tomilee Varnell of Cleveland; and her beloved pets: Daisy and Teddy. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Cedar Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Eddie Hooker and Chaplain Charles Kerin officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
