Robert L Floyd

Robert L. Floyd, age 65, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2006 in a local hospital. He was a member of the Shady Springs Baptist Church in Polk County. He was employed with Maytag for 28 years. Mr. Floyd was the son of the late Clarence and Louise Floyd. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Karen Floyd of Cleveland; three children and spouses: Teresa and Wallace Lawson of Sweetwater, Sue and Conrad Calfee of Cleveland and Lisa and James Pack of Cleveland; grandchildren: Niki and Ryan McKinney, Katlin Smith and Julie Lawson; one great-grandchild, Mali Grace McKinney. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Eddie Trentham officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with the white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Roy Veal, Alvin Bradley, Jeff Calhoun, Scott Martin, Ryan McKinney and Brian Hall will serve as pallbearers. Conrad Calfee and James Pack will serve as honorary pallbearers. His family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
