Sally Dunn, age 80, a resident of Cleveland, passed away peacefully at the home of her son on Saturday, December 16, 2006. She was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church. She was the first woman in Bradley County to donate one gallon of blood to the Red Cross. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She had been employed with Bradley Memorial Hospital and Cleveland Community Hospital. Mrs. Dunn was the daughter of the late Claiborne Kerr, Sr. and Willie Mae Baker Kerr and was also preceded in death by her husband, Vater Dunn; brothers: John Kerr, Harry Kerr and Richard Kerr; sister, Frances Lattimore; granddaughter, Misty Dunn Millsap; nephews: James Kerr and Bucky Lattimore; niece, Virginia Jo Thompson. Survivors include her two sons and daughter-in-law: Gary J. Dunn and Jimmie Dunn of Cleveland and Paul Edward Dunn of Englewood; four grandchildren: Gary Paul Johnson, Michael Johnson, Paul Dunn and Eli Dunn; two great-grandchildren: Brandon Johnson and Nicholas Johnson; one brother, Claiborne Kerr of Cleveland; special niece and husband, Linda and Hershell Higgins of Etowah; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Mowery and Reverend Jesse Millsap officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with the white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
