Dorothy Florence Sorrells

Dorothy Florence Sorrells, age 91, a resident of Charleston, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2006 in a local hospital. She was a member of the Center Point Baptist Church. Mrs. Sorrells was the daughter of the late Henry Lee Milam and Lena Causby Bruster Milam and was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Sorrells and a son, Harold Barty Sorrells. She is survived by two sisters, Phyllis Sue Corvin of Collinsville, PA and Roseina Corvin of Boynton Beach, FL; two brothers: Vernon Lee Milam of Charleston and Robert Carson Milam of Baltimore, MD; four grandchildren: Monica Cawood, Brenda Conley, Barty Lee Sorrells and Nina Phillips; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
