Catherine Roderick

Catherine Roderick, age 85, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 25, 2006 in an Athens hospital. She was a beloved mother and grandmother and was loved by all who knew her. She was a long time resident of Cleveland. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosa Cartwright and Hobert Yarber; brother, Robert Yarber; husband, Albert Roderick and son, James A. Roderick. She is survived by two daughters: Margie Yarber and Betty Moats both of Cleveland; one brother, William Yarber of Cleveland; three sisters: Opal Martin, Lucille Goins both of Cleveland and Shirley Bailey of Decatur; seventeen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend David Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with Michael Moats, Joey Chiolo, Adam Chiolo, Timothy Chiolo, Philip Sluder and Leonard Sluder serving as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
