Roxie Dickson

Roxie Dean Dickson, age 74, a resident of Birchwood, passed away Friday, December 29, 2006 at the family residence. She was a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church. Mrs. Dickson was the daughter of the late Selma Wilson and Bessie Burton Wilson and was also preceded in death by two sisters: Grace McLain and Josephine Collins; two brothers: K.C. Wilson and Frank Wilson. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Hayes Dickson of Birchwood; two children: Mitchell Dickson and Sandra Berry both of Birchwood; three grandchildren: Angela Farley, Kristy Sharpe and Amanda Faircloth; two great-grandchildren: Logan Farley and Brooke Sharpe; one sister, Shirley Wilson of Cleveland; one brother, Junior Wilson of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Jackie Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the McInturf Cemetery with Bradley Bacon, Jessie Ellison, Martin Adams, Edward James, Steve McLain and D.W. Frazier serving as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
