Robert Earl Yeary, age 89, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, January 12, 2007 in a local healthcare facility. He was Manager of Water and Waste Water at Cleveland Utilities from 1964 until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of First Baptist church, an honorary member of the American Legion, and a member of the Elks Club. He was also a member of the Ky-Tenn, Lower East Tennessee Section, Water Association and was inducted into the Hall of Fame for Water and Wastewater Professionals in 1986. He was also a Kentucky Colonel. His parents, William and Matilda Manning Yeary, preceded him in death as well as three brothers: Tom Yeary, Benny Yeary and Andy Yeary, three sisters: Mary Matthews, Gussie Phillips and Della Bolden. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Elwana Yeary of Cleveland; two children: Robert Edwin Yeary and wife Mona of Chattanooga, and Virginia Ferguson of Nashville; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Gibson officiating. Private graveside services will be held Sunday with Danny Ferguson, Robin Yeary, Jonathan Hesterly, Randy Shuford, Christopher Shuford and George Carlisle serving as pallbearers. His family will receive friends from 4 ? 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
