Deborah Marshall Akins

Deborah Marshall Akins, age 49, a life long resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2007 in a local hospital. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Joe Draper and son, J.J. Marshall. She is survived by her husband, Gordon Ray Akins of Cleveland; mother and stepfather Genevieve and George Ledford of Cleveland; step-children: Jeff Akins, Tammy Kincannon, Kile Akins and Joy Massengill; two sisters and spouses: Linda and Tom Humberd and Vicki and Danny Queen all of Cleveland; beloved grandchild, Shelby Marshall and Patrick Marshall both of Athens, TN, Jessie Flinchem and Amber Flinchem both of Bryan, AL, Mason Massengill and Hannah Massengill both of Kimball, TN; several nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend Kenneth Nope officiating. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
